Drone progress monitoring

Drone progress monitoring and drone progress reports for construction

Plan104 connects your schedule to your drone. The platform finds the activities to check on site, generates the drone flight route, and files every drone photo under its activity, so a drone flight becomes a progress report instead of a folder of images.

From schedule to drone flight to progress report

  1. Select the activities. The platform reads the CPM schedule and identifies the activities that should be captured.
  2. Plan the drone flight. Platform users generate drone flight routes over those activities with our drone flight planning tools.
  3. Fly and capture. The drone collects photos of each activity location on site.
  4. Document progress. Every photo is documented under its activity and compared with the plan in the progress report.

Drone flight planning

Generate repeatable drone routes for each area and activity, so every flight captures the same views week after week.

Activity based drone photos

Photos are organized by schedule activity, not by date and file name.

Rooftop and hard to reach areas

Check rooftop equipment, structure and site work without sending someone up.

Flown by a certified pilot

Plan104's founder is an FAA Part 107 certified remote pilot and a CPM scheduler, so the drone program is designed around what the schedule needs to see. Teams can also fly their own drones with routes generated by the platform.

Part of a larger platform

Drone progress monitoring is one part of the Plan104 construction technology platform, alongside 4D site simulation, daily work reports and P6 scheduling services.

Frequently asked questions

How does drone progress monitoring work in construction?

A drone captures photos of the site on a regular schedule, and the photos are compared with the planned work. Plan104 plans the flight from the CPM schedule and files every photo under its activity.

Can we plan our own drone flights with the platform?

Yes. Platform users can generate drone routes, collect the drone photos and see them documented by activity.

Is your drone pilot certified?

Yes. Plan104's founder holds an FAA Part 107 remote pilot certificate.

What do drone progress reports show?

Planned versus actual progress for each activity, supported by aerial photos of the work.
